Hello peeps! 😀 Quick update concerning Gauguin’s Matriarchy, my book about the latent feminism in Gauguin’s Tahitian artworks–hardcover author copies are finally here! 📚
I’ve already written extensively about the book at Ediciones Pluma Verde, where I’ve also created a dedicated page (albeit in Spanish) where plot and questions are addressed (and where you can also read a sample). I also discussed some retouching of the works for the book in this post, so I won’t discuss the book at length in this entry. However, if you’d like to know more about the book, feel free to e-mail me at hello@robmarielopez.com!
Anywho! I’m quite happy with how it turned out–a bit accomplished, even. This book was the result of many months’ worth of toil; I certainly hope it supports future research on Paul Gauguin and/or Jungian symbolism.
