First things first! I am a primarily a research psychologist, who earned the right to practice in Puerto Rico after completing an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico (and, of course, passing the board exam). However, I have paused my registry as I now live in California.
Because I wanted to hone my skills as both academic writer and researcher, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Ponce Health Sciences University, where I had the opportunity to contribute to research on borderline personality disorder and later, on bipolar disorder neuroprogression, analyzing the effectiveness of an HCL-32-based screening intervention for depressed women with mixed mood episodes as part of my dissertation. I am now more interested in interdisciplinary research concerning visual perception.
